According to the agreement, People Telecom will market innovative mobile services plans on the Vodafone network, for what it says will "significantly increase the reach and scope of its mobile offerings".
Since the company's inception in early 2000, People Telecom has provided clients with a new alternative in a competitive telecommunications environment and only weeks ago became the first service provider in Australia to offer ADSL2+ broadband services on the Telstra network and followed a similar agreement with Optus earlier.
In 2006 the company was named 6th in BRW fastest growing companies. The company has also formed relationships with the Australian Retailers Associations and the Dynamic Small Business Network.
This deal now provides Vodafone with an important, new growth engine for greater indirect acquisition of SMB customers, an area in which it has not normally been associated with.
People Telecom CEO, John
Stanton said the agreement with Vodafone was important as, "This agreement provides People Telecom with stronger operating margins and a platform to expand both mobile and data services with a key relationship supplier in the form of Vodafone.
