Telstra Enterprise & Government Group Managing Director, Mr. David Thodey said, "There has been tremendous interest for the BlackBerry Bold smartphone. The great speed of the Next G network and the capabilities of the technology that stands behind it will deliver Telstra's enterprise and government customers a faster BlackBerry experience and a browsing experience in more places, similar to what they would achieve at their desktop. This will mean that the BlackBerry Bold smartphone will deliver even greater personal and enterprise productivity improvements than experienced in the past."

Telstra Business Group Managing Director, Ms Deena Shiff, said "The introduction of the BlackBerry Bold will be a boon for business customers, offering unprecedented functionality and performance and allowing 'always on' wireless connectivity while away from the desk. The BlackBerry Bold combines everything business people love about the traditional BlackBerry email experience with great graphics, streaming video, sharp new display, and the ability to download, view and edit documents in a matter of seconds."

The BlackBerry Bold has a recommended retail price of $999 and is available on various plans to suit enterprise and business customers' needs, including an $80 Phone Plan with $0 upfront for customers connecting for 24 months.

Telstra has also made available an exclusive e-mail plan offer on the $89.95 BlackBerry email plan for customers connecting 24 months with existing BlackBerry Enterprise Solution software including 200MB of data free for the first 2 months. There are also additional benefits for customers who move their BlackBerry services back to Telstra.
