  New Samsung Phone Gets Smart

Samsung has launched a smartphone that comes pre-installed with the latest Windows Mobile OS, Mobile Office, Direct Push E-mail, and over the air sync of PIMS for total access to files while on-the-go.

The Samsung i617T offers 3.6 Mbps plus tri-band UMTS (3G) for instant roaming, built-in A-GPS support, 2-megapixel camera, MP3 player capabilities, and a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display.

Samsung Mobile's Head of Marketing, Jenny Goodridge said, "Samsung views the Microsoft operating system as a key differentiator and a benefit for Business users in particular. We already offer the widest range of Windows Mobile devices and intend to significantly accelerate our share of Business Smartphone sales over the next 12 months."

The Samsung i617T is exclusive to Telstra channels with an RRP of $589 or $0 on a $30 Telstra plan.
