"LG Touch Phone: Nice But Not Naughty"

By Branko Miletic | Published:2008-08-26

Lately Korean Electronics company LG has been getting all suave, sexy and sophisticated with their brand. At a number of launches this year, you would be forgiven for thinking that you may have been at a lingerie party rather than the launch of a new electronics gadget.

So it comes as a bit of a surprise that one of the company's latest slider phones seem a bit reserved—perhaps not in a straight-laced, Reverend's wife type of way, but certainly not in the same category as this smartphones' stable mate, the Prada.

The KF700 with its slider measures 102 mm by 51 mm by 14.5 mm, making this a compact & slender slider phone.
Its touch screen measures about 3-inches (or 75 mm for those who prefer SI) and the touch screen itself comes with a 240 pixel x 480 pixel resolution, but I must say though that the touch screen seems a bIt slow—although there is an option to change this, making the responsiveness of the screen somewhat better.

Then there is a shortcut dial, which is situated on the back of the handset & is designed for easy control without opening the handset.  Now I have to be honest here—I didn't use the dial—in fact I hate dials, as they remind me of those really bad 1950's sci-fi movies.

Regardless, this option is for just that—options—users can pick the touch screen, shortcut dial or the slide out keypad to control all the phones features.
